That's really excellent.

Before I retired, I never spent more than seven years with one job. I'm sure that says something about my personality, but I'll be damned if I know what it is.

Anyway, congrats again. Bet you couldn't do it twice in a row!

Congratulations Holly. I'm coming up on 25 years this May. You are a role model for those of us much younger than yourself. *smile*.

What type of work do you do?

Well, congratulations on sticking it out. It's admireable for some, for some people switching jobs keeps them happier and it can be a quicker way to climb the career ladder. It all depends on industry, plans, personality, education. Just because someone switches every few years does not have to mean he or she is a bad employee, sometimes it is true, sometimes it is the opposite, someone who works hard and feels more appreciated by another company.
In any case I feel no loyalty to an employer, they truly do not care about you.
But, nevertheless, 30 years is impressive indeed.
cheers

thanks to all of you for the kind thoughts!!!! honestly i didn't think i'd hear from anybody.

someone asked what i do. i'm an inventory management specialist. in other words i count stuff all day. it's boring but keeps me in the style to which i have become accustomed. Additionally it stays at the office. I have always been of the opinion that I work to have a life.

oh by the way, lou, you are the older one here. think you are pretty smart eh?
